Tuesday Mumble: Insurrection

Written by TheChoujinVirus

Note: The following is based on my opinion, so do not get touchy about it. Also, this is a VERY touchy subject for ya boy here, so again..don’t take things personal

Why Happy Thursday, everyone, today, it’s ya boy Choujin here.

Everyone’s been hearing about the situation that happened on the 6th of January. I know this happened as it all went down on my birthday. To explain to you what’s been going on, some people who were pissed off from the results of the election decided the best option was to stage a coup on the US capitol building. The development of it has led to the mess we’re seeing and all the other stuff that makes me sick to my stomach (and I’m not joking.) It’s really sickening to watch this shit in real-time and having the audacity to call themselves patriots. It’s really sickening…

The first thing you see is that there was little to no security (in fact, there was some talk that law enforcement allowed them to walk in, and some were sympathetic to the causes). This is the kind of crap that shouldn’t have been allowed (that and it should have been screened and the place more prepared.) Another thing was that certain people within OUR government began to fan and prod their attack dogs into some kind of frenzy. All for the belief that their president will get a second term. However, the same dogs also were planning to hang you for “Selling out.” So not really a smart move right there and a really dumb move when you want to defend someone who will sell you down the river for his own personal beliefs.

The next thing is the double standards seen by the “patriots.”. In one moment, you see the protestors call for “hanging Mike Pence,” then after the whole thing, they begin to scream peace and unity after this entire thing. I’m sorry but what the what?! I’m supposed to give mercy to you because your stupidity got battered? To quote Optimus Prime:

” You, who are without mercy, now plead for it? I thought you were made of sterner stuff!”

Not only that, but they commonly resort to lying in hopes of defending themselves from this blunder. These things like “It was ANTIFA/BLM That stormed the basis,” “it was a heat of the moment,” or my personal favorite excuse “I was only doing with Trump told me.” All of that being pure cowardice that they do because they came off as a childish temper tantrum. Though I have to admit, I’ve seen more excuses during the Nuremberg Trials.

So what do ya boy want to bring up? Well, let’s say ya boy here isn’t someone who supports open treason against the government through this. Sure he may hate the orange lard-butt, but I wouldn’t encourage violent overthrowing of the government for that stuff. As for those who openly say this..let me just say this as my final word…

Thanks for listening, and keep yourself safe out there.

Tuesday Mumbles: Hyper-Competitive

Written By TheChoujinVirus

Note: the following are based on my own opinions, so don’t take offense to these views if you feel they conflict with yours.

Happy Thursday everyone, it’s ya boy Choujin here.
Welcome to 2021. New years and new mumbles to argue about. With Covid-19 still around, ya boy’s been playing games and such. One day, a friend of mine on World of Warcraft brought up a discussion that gets ya boy: Hyper-competitiveness.
Now, what is hyper-competitive? To summarize it and not get into something of a dictionary definition, hyper-competitiveness is more or less when people obsess over getting the top score or anything, all while taking the fun out of things due to that obession.
Before we continue with this, I want to remind people that I’m not chastising anything related to competitions or those striving for it. I’m against the hypercompetitive nature that can kill the fun in general, whether competitive or casual. For those who strive for the best, do not take this article as ya boy attacking you. This is the unfortunate side effect that it may bring out in some people

The first thing that I’ve seen in this problem is hypercompetitiveness is the overuse of “cookie cutters,” and meta builds. Basically, folks who copy either a top winning deck, team loadout, or composition just to get wins, which is annoying as sin. The thing is, these people don’t do this to get to the top but rather use this as a way to get easy wins in a lower tier. Now, ya boy has used cookie cutters to better understand how things work (Pokemon, etc.) So you can know how the deck works and maybe get a feel of it. However, when some folks go out of their way just so they can win in casual based things, it becomes a buzzkill. Nobody wants to deal with that in a non-competitive format and just want to play for fun. Just because you saw some guy at a Yugioh tournament use a top meta deck. You want to use it, that’s fine by you, but that’s going to cost you a ton of respect, and don’t be surprised when you don’t have others to play with you. Some folks like to play with a gimmicked deck that may be fun with people. Not everyone using a cookie-cutter may be doing this for an easy win: some may be trying to get a feel of the deck, and maybe they could like how it feels. It’s a bit confusing, but some folks want to have fun and not copycat the winning decks.

Another example that sometimes happens is when this becomes the “Only way to play a game,” which can agitate those who feel that a casual bout becomes vital. To return back to my old mumbling about Gatekeeping, this can become annoying. Especially when there are multiple ways to beat the game. Now, I’m not saying that an optimal choice is the only choice, but more when THIS way is the ONLY way to play a game. For example, when I was playing World of Warcraft, which began this conversation, I recalled how some people who play Mythic+ Dungeons (which are dungeons with a timer to beat). Those things have been known to make you have a group that requires specific professions, classes, or both. That is if you’re one of those groups trying to break world records.  The thing is that most of it is used for lower levels (e.g., Mythic+5) when it’s more useful for those gunning in the 20s. It creates an annoying gatekeep that makes joining harder and forces people to roll that or be forced not to be that way. Shadowlands does have that with covenant choices, but that’s another story for another time.

Though I’ve seen other ways to this, it becomes a bit toxic when people will berate others who don’t play this way. Again, we return to Warcraft and how it’s tough to join groups (or even form groups) if you’re not at a specific parameter or just doing a chill run. Things get really..really dicey and pretty annoying. Especially with random groups. Though this isn’t limited to this as well, as sometimes it extends beyond WoW and in things like Pokemon where some folks will get really competitive when it comes to specific rulesets and metas that they’ll follow with a passion. Not knocking on that, but some folks wouldn’t mind having some plain fun but don’t throw a fit if people don’t play Smogon rulesets or VCGs and just want to have some fun.

So what do ya boy suggest in this situation? All I can do is simply don’t become hyper-competitive when it comes to some casual aspects. It’s okay to chase that challenge if you want and how you do it but don’t berate people if they don’t want to do it that way. Remember that folks are different and have their own ways. Lastly, one big thing folks need to know whether it’s a card game, video game, or just any sports in general…

IT’S JUST A GAME!

If you don’t think about this..then…as I always say…

So with that, that’s ya boy’s issue with this hyper-competitive nature. Folks should be free to play the game they want to (within the rules, of course) but not berating those who seek casual fun or pure competition. Let people have their fun and enjoy things how it is.

Tuesday Mumbles: 2020 In a Nutshell

Note: The following is based on my own opinions. Do not feel offended if you find them hitting too close to home.

Happy Tuesday (or Wednesday by the time this is posted.) It’s Ya boy Choujin here.

2020 is nearly on its way out and perhaps maybe all the problems it brought with us due to the whole situations. It wasn’t a good way to start off a new decade. I mean, we got our issues with major problems like diseases, political turmoil and many other issues that show up during this whole mess of 2020. I could give many but we’ll focus on some of the major issues that showed up.

Let’s start off with the 200 lb viral elephant in the room: Covid-19. I’ve already made several opinions throughout this year of all the news and stupidity of how our political administration, those that support them and various others have had a bunch of nuttery that makes me scratch my head when looking back at this. First off, you had people pretending the virus never existed (though karmic, they’ve found out this virus is oh so real.) Then you got people throwing fits over rules and such that make them look like ignorant douchebags as nobody wants to be affected by it. Those things get a bit crazy

Besides that mess with Covid, we still have to deal with the outcome of the election. Those still sucking on those copium inhalants are still holding out that somehow that Trump will win this fight (Here’s a secret, he’s not going to be winning this at all.) However, those folks are just as stubborn as Jets fans thinking that the team will win. (no offense to NY Jets Fans out there.) However, it’s going to be something that folks won’t let go and will be talked about for years to come. If folks were waiting for a Civil War, folks might assume we are on the cusp of it. However, the Copium is flowing and that means those boasting about wanting a fight are all bark and no bite

However, 2020 isn’t too bad. Despite those two major examples, the wildfires in California and even overseas issues, we’ve seen the good that has shown. When the Pandemic began to grow rampant, people joined hand in hand to help each other out in one way or another through donations, crafting or even money. Politically, the election of Biden has given some people hope that the US can mend itself, even if it takes a long time. It’s like opening Pandora’s Box: Even though it had all the misery of the world, it also held hope.
And Hope..is such a splendid thing.
All I have to say that is we need to make sure that 2021 doesn’t become another 2020. Hopefully that next year will bring some good things and allow us to move on from this virus, from this political fighting and from this whole 2020 mess.

Tuesday’s Mumble: Quarentine 2: Electric Boogaloo

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s ya boy Choujin here.

What a November! We got ourselves a new president (despite a few people crying about the results and outcome.) World of Warcraft Shadowlands is live (and i’m enjoying this while working on the story that was suppose to be due last week.) However, we got a new round two into Covid-19. Ya Boy’s not too happy about the outcome. More than just things getting backhanded (Ya Boy was suppose to be finished with an NCCT quiz for his class but due to Covid, it’s been delayed until further notice.)

For those who are curious, my state of California has rolled back to the Purple tier (widespread) when we were in the red tier (substantial). We were hoping to get to the Orange tier (moderate) but that went to hell in a handbasket. Thus because of this, alot of stuff is now shutdown and thus we need to hunker down again (though ya boy is lucky his gym is open in this pandemic). Though why have we shut down? With everything going on so well? Lemmie tell you why this stuff happened…

It’s because people out there, defiant in what doctors told them and advised but instead listened to the GOP administration and their lies in order. Because of that, my State has a massive outbreak and things aren’t going to be like this normally. I mean, It’s not just me that’s going on but the workers that have been suffering too in this. Some can’t afford to survive another round of quarantine and our hospitals have been stretched to capacity. Not really good when everyone is stretched.

What makes this also hard is that Thanksgiving is coming and most people are either hunkering down or taking their chances and traveling. I wouldn’t advise that due to how this crap got out of hand to begin with (people traveling and spreading it unknowingly) and that some states (like California) have a maximum of two weeks quarantine right after you travel or when you arrive.
Not really good to even leave after all, and maybe give a call on Valentine’s Day.

For now, Ya boy here is probably going to have a safe Thanksgiving at home and giving his grandmother a call. For those out there, best keep safe and not risk getting yourself sick in this.

So be safe, and be careful out there.

Tuesday Mumbles: Voting

Written by TheChoujinVirus

Note: All mumbles are based on my own opinions, so do not take these too personal if they rub you the wrong way.

Good Tuesday, everyone
It’s ya boy Choujin.

2020’s already setting itself to being a shitshow, and the biggest thing folks are talking about is voting. Now, ya boy here embraces the the entire notion of a democratic election by doing our civic duty by voting. Though from what’s been going on with the pandemic and the idea of mail-in voting sounding viable for safety reasons. However, a lot of people are spreading crap that somehow makes certain voting means invalid or some feeling their votes are invalid. Though this is just a bunch of crap that makes my blood boil in this situation. In an election period, the last thing you need is confusion and delay that can delude the outcome of an election.

The first and most annoying thing that boils my blood is that certain political figures and individuals are pushing a narrative that the entire vote by mail is somehow fraudulent and designed to rig the system. Though some have already explained that the method is safe enough and won’t risk being tampered. In fact, they’re known to be the safest thing out there. This narrative is being pushed by these individuals and figures because they fear the outcome may not being in their favor. It can be annoying as hell and poisons the well. Why push lies like this?

But that’s not just the major issue, you got people and others pushing things to get people to not vote. Such as doomers claiming that a conservative court will give a certain president the election. Others will throw their vote away for some petty reason or simply not vote at all. This mess is the real reason why 2016 happened and was a big fat mess to begin with. Folks don’t understand that their voice matters in this situation and by taking it for granted and being overconfident will lead to folks being this way. If it says that one person is ahead than the other, don’t take their word for it until you cast your ballot. Lastly, if you’re upset because you have two people who are corrupt or some other crap, remember that sometimes it’s best to compromise and go with “the lesser of two evils”.
Another addendum is that some folks are turning toward the idea of using “security” to protect ballots. The problem is that by law, coming armed (and voter intimidation) is a felony regardless of your nature or noble intention. Leave that stuff to the professionals please, and not the wanna be posers.

and with that, I’ll leave the following sources here for you so those confused that they can provide you more information here:
https://www.usa.gov/voting
https://www.vote.org/

make sure you know your rights when it comes to voting and be reassured that you and your ballots will be safe. Whether it be by intimidation, sabotage or anything else.
Your vote matters.

Tuesday Mumbles: Wildfires and Politics

Note: the following is based on my own opinions and not made to offend or agitate anybody. Do not take these personal

Hey everyone, it’s ya boy Chouin here.

It’s not really a good day for California, and I’m not talking about the heat. It’s been hell here due to wildfires. Not only the damage and loss of property and lives, but also the toxic air that makes it pretty hard to breathe. It’s not a good day for Californians, or those in Oregon. However there’s worse things that are going on: those playing politics with this catastrophe..

California is no stranger to wildfires and the causes. Usually typically due to the more common like a cigarette or an unattended fire work. However we got stranger causes, like a hawk hitting a powerline all the way to the more political. The current wildfire started in El Dorado Ranch Park was started by people starting a gender reveal party (and no, it’s not anything transgender related as some right-wing talking heads are claiming). The parents wanted to announce to the world of their baby’s sex through a firework show. Guess what? That was THE most dumbest thing known to the history of man. Who would use fireworks, in an area that’s prone to wildfires?! Because of that stunt, the air quality is shit, people have lost their lives and homes? And for what?! To declare to the world that your baby’s a boy or a girl?!

I sure hope you weren’t planning on sending your child to college, because you’re got a lot of legal fees to pay after this. Not really worth the pain if you tried that crap out when it’s prime weather.

What got me pissed off is that due to some of that evidence (and jumping sparks), there’s a handful of people out there that ignore the actual research and believe stupid garbage. One such theory claims that the wildfires are being started by “Direct Energy weapons”. Which is saying that lasers are being fired and are the causes of this fire. Another theory is that the wildfires are started by political terrorists (some claiming ANTIFA or Proud Boys) when it’s in short it wasn’t revealed by anyone (despite that law enforcement have stated it’s not confirmed about the political motivations of anyone arrested or if any of them were related to this.)
Seriously? People are suffering in a wildfire and we’re going into witch hunts over the cause of this? I mean, as much as I hate assholes who start fires nor am I fond of the political weather at the moment. However, when we have confirmations of stuff that’s started by things like downed lines, fireworks or anything, I’d take the word from fire departments than over some random person on
Twitter, Facebook, or Youtube. I mean, unless our first responders are part of this conspiracy of setting fire alongside with the “enemy” (what is their end goal in this?).

We are still in a pandemic, with wildfires destroying our air and property and we’re still chasing boogeymen and invisible weapons?! We should be focusing on things like helping people get their lives back on track, put aside any political differences and not escalate it like building “Checkpoints” designed to harass journalists.

But hey…I guess when we’re in a panicked stupor, we chase anything that sounds good

Tuesday Mumbles: Gatekeeping in fandoms (Late)

Note: This is based on my opinion, so do not take it too personal if it rubs you the wrong way.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s ya boy Choujin here!

Everybody is or has been a part of fandom. From Star Wars to Star Trek and so forth and so on. People have been enjoying the communities created. Though what I’ve experienced and heard of are some people who think of themselves as the bastion of fandom purity and protection. These folks are known as “gatekeepers”.
What’s a gatekeeper or gate-keeping you ask? Gate-keeping, as oxford defines it, is the activity of controlling, and usually limiting, general access to something. In the case of fandom, it usually involves controlling who is considered a true fan or not. Ranging from things like what things they watch or knowledge of their series. It’s an annoying thing that makes people not bastions but more come off as just outright jerks.

One example of gate-keeping i’ve seen is the old “you’re not playing this right” or “True players do this” form of gate-keeping. They’re the kind of person who will claim some really dumb stuff like “You’re not playing Pokemon right if you’re not breeding them” or “Fire Emblem players don’t play with Casual Mode on”. It’s a common form of gate-keeping that gets me annoyed over certain things. So what if someone wants to play Fire Emblem on an easier difficulty or whether or not a person doesn’t competitively breed or uses cheating devices for non-tournament play by berating them for not playing the way they view as “the true way of playing.” If one plays that way, that’s them. There’s no need to berate a player for playing how they want to be. Though I’ve seen other forms where one berates others because they play mobile games and not PC or console games, or my personal annoyance the whole “X is better” gatekeepers. There’s billions of gatekeepers that I could talk about but we’d be here till next week. All I have to say so far is that the first gatekeepers are the kind who dictate what is considered “fun” or “normal”. However, there are other gatekeepers too.

A more newer one I’ve encountered (and experienced) are the old “you’re the problem” gate-keeping. I’ve seen this from reactions due to certain issues with some media. One such example is Star Wars. I’m a fan of The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, but some people seem to get upset about this by arguing about how those who like those series and the direction the franchise is going as “part of the problem.” that somehow they view those who like this changing direction or something the gatekeeper hates as the fault of people being complacent to them. Is it? In ya boy’s opinion, no no..nobody’s at fault for these changes. Other types that annoy me are the ones that think that if you don’t know the lore of a franchise, you can’t be a true fan.
So does that mean if I can’t know the stats of a Mobile Suit from Gundam means I’m not a true fan of Gundam? Does not knowing about a Stand’s power level mean that I’m not Jojo fan? I’d say no. Just because one is a loremaster of a fandom doesn’t mean that they are the bastion on who is considered a true fan or not.

The only good news with gatekeepers is that they seem to be very small. Very small, but very loud to boot. So the odds of running into gatekeepers can be non-existent for some people and luckily some of the communities themselves do not want these people to gatekeep future fans. Gatekeeping is viewed as some to keep things pure, but the result leads to simply making the fanbase of certain things become a bit stagnant and their people viewed as elitists. However, that’s my opinion and nothing much.

Tuesday’s Mumbles: Anti-SJWs

Note: the following is based on my opinion, so do not take it personally if it strikes you close to home.

Happy Tuesday everyone, it’s ya boy, Choujin here.

There’s a battle going on, tied to bits and bobs that some people criticized or feel is wrong. Some people who view themselves as fighting a war against Social Justice Warriors (or SJWs as people call them). I’m talking about Anti-SJWs, the reactionaries.
Now, i’m sure there are going to be some people out there that will take this with a grain of salt and think ya boy’s some SJW or someone who thinks scepticism is somehow bad. Never said that but, I’ll explain what I mean. Anti-SJWs are usually people who seem to freak out over the more petty things like anything that provides LGBT+, PoC, Women, Trans, ect. Can be in anything from movies, to just civil rights on some things.

A lot of those Anti SJW types usually seem to have some beef with certain things. One such example here by a youtuber was how some were upset over the design of a fictional character made for a children’s cartoon. It’s odd how so much energy is over a kid’s cartoon but instead they make this fear about children not having anything to aspire to? I mean, why do you ask that question? Also, really, really awkward when you as a grown man seem to be upset over how a fictional female character looks like for a children’s cartoon. Some even throw a fit over how a fictional couple behave when they’re not hererosexual. Such as some outrage here in which some people here are upset over a probable remake of The Little Mermaid in which Ariel is portrayed by an African-American.

Oh and don’t think it’s not something tied to just fiction and characters, let’s not forget about how some of them seem to attack certain actors and actresses such as Brie Larson (Many even admitting they can make money off of Youtube just for talking garbage about her.) just because she made a comment about wanting to see more different reviewers that weren’t the same type of people who may not have any interest in reviewing. Another issue is also some people hating people just because of the actors, like John Boyega (the actor of Finn) who had to endure harassment just because he played a stormtrooper. Really frustrating and really annoying, oh and let’s not forget when someone is framed due to their crimes (see my last article about my issue with the cult of personality.)

Those are just some parts of the major problem that come and go from these Anti-SJWs that plague everything, some even throw a fit over the notion of being called out. They’ll say that they’re “taken out of context” or that “it’s just a prank”. Though what really is ironic is that all of them from their own reactions have become the strawman they push onto people. Pretty funny if you ask me.

So what is ya boy’s suggestion? Well, with people like them, it’s a bit tricky. Calling them on their ironic behavior does work, but it mostly invokes their legions to attack you (again, see cult of personality.) Ignoring them usually just makes them feel they have some form of high ground.
It’s not an easy fight, but I usually just do both. Call them out on their behavior and move on from them, to hell with their legions.

But anyway, have any one of you ever dealt with anti-sjws or seen them in the wild? Comment below

Tuesday Mumbles: Hero Worship and the Cult of Personality

written by TheChoujinVirus

Note: The following article I have written is based on my opinion, so do not take it too personally if this hits close to home.

Heya, it’s ya boy Choujin here.

It’s a pretty big, but not so big surprising shocker that news of individual Smash Players and famous people having skeletons in their closets. Though our talk isn’t about those people, mostly a big problem: The people themselves. Now, I’m sure people ask ya boy this: ” ‘ey, what do you mean the people?”. Let’s explain a bit of something involving what I call Hero worship and the cult of personality. Mainly, some folks will worship certain people as though they’re infallible or that whenever something wrong happens to them, it’s somehow some big conspiracy to smear the person or something (Not saying that whatever is said is true), but instead, they treat any accusation or anything negative about something. Now before we get reading, just a reminder that this may feel like I’m nailing some people or presuming guilt, but it’s less on the focus and more on people’s reaction to this. Hence the cult of Popularity or Hero worship.

Commonly, some of it is born out of nostalgia or growing up. For example, some people grew up with George Lucas and remembered how he made the Star Wars Trilogy. Some people treat him like he’s infallible, ignoring the newer Sequel Trilogy as some people feel the original was better. Another example is none other than Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear series. A lot of gamers revere him as a great storyteller and game creator. Though when he released Death Standing, a game that turned out to be lackluster, people got hostile over critics for “not understanding the masterpiece” as though they assume people can’t understand his work. Those two examples I throw out are just one of many issues that can surface when people feel like they’re heroes are slighted or agitated by some kind of “shadow cabal.” It’s really frustrating and annoying to people outside of these as they see this level of hero worship to a near borderline cult. Nobody wants a fan cult!
Though the next group is something notorious within the anime fandom, a group devoted a voice actor calling themselves the Risembool Rangers. Now, having your favorite voice actor or actor, in general, is no crime, but this isn’t about fan groups. The Risembool Rangers have had a notorious issue of being a bit..zealous of Vic. Some stories involve how they view people criticizing Vic’s acting to one incident where some members threatened his ex-wife years ago. Then when news of sexual harassment allegations came out (keyword: allegations), the fan group went out of their way to attack and damage people solely on the grounds that they feel somehow that they must defend their god-like image of their hero. It’s pretty creepy. When things get so crazy that some will make death threats at random people on the internet because they didn’t like Metal Gear, thought their role in an anime was terrible or outright hate newer movies over the classics, it’s nuts.

Let’s move onto the 400lb Elephant (no pun intended) in the room: Politics and this whole political Cult of Personality. A lot of people have viewed this thing as something silly, though we got several examples of how it works: Ronald Regan, Barak Obama, and Donald Trump. Now, I’m sure it’s painfully apparent with the Trumpian cult, so you don’t need ya boy to explain that stuff (just watch the news or look the internet to better understand this cult), but on the other hand, there are the overwhelming issues that were brought up with Obama and the late Regan. Some Republicans (young and old) seem to look up and revere Regan as some kind of Christ-like figure that was revered for defeating the Communists. Though when you bring up the not so good parts of the history, such as Operation Condor, the Iran-Contra affair or things that Regan fucked up and you’ll see how they’ll blame certain people on focusing on that such as the “liberal media” or some other stuff for why it turned out that way. Hence cards like “Deep state” is continuously being played when their “god” is revealed to be a joke. But back on the subject of this, with Obama, people rode the card that he was some kind of angelic messiah meant to end the issue of Bush. When Obama’s became overambitious, and things went south? The people who backed him then began going into denial over the idea that what he was going was a pipe dream currently.
Hoo boy were people pissed when they realized that these things Obama promised didn’t happen, but you know..that’s the problem with the Cult of Personality and Hero worship. Some will elevate people to godhood and will become upset over it. These guys can get worse as unlike the last group, some of them will carry out threats, and some folks have gotten hurt or in physical fights over these. Some have even had private information made public (or attempted to be made public) just to put the fear into their critics.

Now, the next question is this: What should people do to prevent this situation where people elevate those into gods? Well, to be honest, ya boy feels that this is pretty tough in convincing people in not creating this. I do have some advice that could ensure you don’t get swept up into the movement and end up part of the legion. The first thing you need to know is that everyone is not a god or infallible—even the best and brightest who makes promises can screw up. People can be excellent speakers (or dumb people can be swayed easily). Just remember that vital part when you listen to people or look them up.
The next part is if you know people who are like this, kindly remind them about the first step. Don’t call them stupid or dumb or berate them. All that’ll do is just galvanize their support. Kindly bring up the flaws in this and leave it there.
This may feel like something stupid, but sometimes it’s the best one can do when dealing with the cult of personality.Other than that, ya boy’s real answer is to quote the computer from War Games when dealing with the cult of personality.

Anyway, have you run into any cult of personalities or hero worshipers that come off like any creepy vibe or annoyance? Comment below

Tuesday Mumbles: George Floyd Protests

Written By TheChoujinVirus

Note: The following is based on my own opinion on the matter, so do not take it too personal for this situation. On my opinion on this, I hope that this ends peacefully for both parties.

It’s ya boy, Choujin here! This week’s one hell of doozey. If it’s not Covid-19, it’s now riots between protesters and police.

For those who may not have paid attention to the news, an African-American man named George Floyd was killed when under detainment of the police. Hence why I had to use the “Coconut Chrunch-Os” commercial from the T.V. show Atlanta. Now, ya boy feels like this was a really, REALLY bad handling on our boys in blue. Supposedly this was over a counterfeit 20 dollar bill. Now, when I was a kid, I remembered when law enforcement never did this crud before. Then again, stuff changed during the North Hollywood shootout.

This puts ya boy in a very difficult position in this argument. On one half, I’ve looked up to law enforcement my whole life as people who help uphold the law and protect the innocent, but on the other hand, you have law enforcement that lead to some issues like excessive force or targeting certain ethnicity due to some prejudiced. I agree with the situation that law enforcement need better non-lethal measures that won’t kill people (shoot to maim, not to kill for subjects), but when it comes to “defunding the police” I don’t want them to be defunded and in another North Hollywood. I guess you can say I support both the protesters and the law enforcement.

I’m also aware that law enforcement isn’t free of corruption or problems like unions or infiltration from some groups. Something that I’ve heard brought up several times such as right wing infiltration of law enforcement. it can get someone to question the narrative and deny that the stuff one grew up with would be viewed as crooked as the crooks that they fight.

In short, ya boy’s really conflicted on this. Not conflicted on the idea of a black man killed by white cops, but conflicted on how one can view cops and law enforcement, the same law enforcement I was raised to view as the good guys and protectors. How can one view them as heroes when stories make them villains? How can one look up to them, when you see them using excessive force on minimal issues.

How can one view cops as uncorruptable, when they themselves are not immune to the same corruption crime creates?
But to remind people, I am NOT some anti-cop person who screams “Fuck the police!” or reveres “Cop Killers” as heroes. However, I do feel that how bad apples can create this mess and distrust that leads to cop killers and anti-cop sentimentality. But I need to know that though the cops are the good guys and there to keep the peace on the street, they are not immune to problems.

I’m sure someone would ask me “So what would you do in this situation? What would your answer be?”
My answer? Well that’s a bit of a bugaboo, but if you want my opinion I’d go for holding those accountable?
Who accountable? Well I’d have to say things like this: If excessive force exists? Call them out for it!
Ensure that law enforcement unions don’t cover up shit like what’s going on now or claiming a man who got knocked over by a cop “tripped”.

It’s not simple, but to me, it’ll be a start…
